The prestigious school of dance and entertainment BNF, is proud to present the second edition of Dubai Latin Fest.An impressive Carnival of performance arts and Culture, all inspired by the Latin world, which will take place from 10 to 17 April at the Hilton JBRand other venues across Dubai. The Festival includes five main events: Latin Village; Latin Films; Latin Flavours; Latin Dance and Latin Concert.
Inspired by Dubai’s leadership’s vision and efforts to become the leading global and cultural hub, Dubai Latin Fest seeks to showcase the best of Latin culture, creativity and flavour. With a big focus on musical and performance arts that festival-goers can partake in, and the tastiest treats to come from South America and Spain, the event promises to be a unique and fabulous experience for adults and children alike.
Dubai Latin Fest highlights
Dubai Latin concert (15th April): The JBR Hilton beach will expect at least 3000 guests coming to enjoy the signature Latin beats and captivating voice of Colombian musical artist Fanny Lu singing her top hits like No tepidofloresand ‘No eres para mi’,and introducing her new singles to her fans. Latin model, singer and actress with perform along with other local-based performers including Eddi Duarte &Muzz Suave, Royal Mariachi and a sensational Salsa Orchestra which will pay a tribute to Joe Arroyo, one of Colombia’s Caribbean music legends.
Dubai Latin Dance (14th – 17thApril): Develop your hip shaking skills at the many dance events taking place during this time:40+ world-Champion Dancers will gathered in Dubai Latin Fest to teach in three intensive workshops, the secrets and techniques of Kizomba, Salsa and Bachata. Moreover, bnf professional artists will host an incredible Bootcampwhere attendees will rehearse a set choreography and perform iton the last day of the event. For those who do not dare to dance, they can also enjoy the various international showsthat will take place prior to the night parties atthe Hilton in JBR. As if this were not enough, the Festival also features two ‘Latin Boat Parties’hand by Boat Charter on April 15th, plus an opening party at the famous club Zero Gravity in Dubai Marina, on April 13. The Festival will closure witha desert safariwith guest artists on Sunday 17 April.
Dubai Latin Village (14th – 16th April): Located at the Hilton JBR’s grounds, visitors will find 22 stalls offering everything from food, art pieces, fashion and much more. Famous Latin eateries in Dubai like PolloPollo, Maria Bonita, Urban Paella, ArepaLoca and Bar Tropical will display their stalls with delightful dishes for visitors to enjoy. The market will feature a stage with different and entertaining shows for children and adults alike. Spanish Nuria Martinezfrom Easy Dance, will give a free‘Sevillanas’ workshop in which she promises to teach the techniques of this patriotic dance in 4 easy steps. The village will also account with performances fromBatuta Events, Pentagrama events,Spanish Comedyand bnfdancers. Free Entry!
Dubai Latin Films (14th – 16th April): Three award winning Latin films, Columbian drama-comedy movie, ‘Sofia y el Terco’; Brazilian amusement blockbuster: ‘Cine Holliudy’; and Dominican Republic thriller:‘Despertar’ will all be displayed on large and freeoutdoor screensof the Dubai Latin Village at Hilton JBR at 5:30pm.
Dubai Latin Flavours (10th – 13th April): Four native Latin restaurants around Dubai will celebrate with special theme nights related to the country they represent. Expect a tailored set menu of multiple dishes and a creation of beverages presented by head chefs of each eatery. Bnf dancers will entertain the clientele with their breathtaking shows. Restaurants and dates: ‘Maya’ (Mexican), ‘Toro Toro’ (Latin cuisine), Seville’s (Spanish) and Fogueira (Brazilian) on the 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th, respectively.
“The Dubai Latin Festival will be bigger and better than last year with a richer variety ofthe best from Latin culture and traditions, that promises to bring a little piece of home for the over 50,000 Spanish and South American residents of UAE,” commented Silva Santos, Dubai Latin Festival Project Manager at BNF. “Moreover, the Festival will go a long way to satisfy the region’s appetite for everything related to Latin world and we expect that like last year, many residents from the Gulf countries will make their way to Dubai to be a part of this festival,” she continued.
With their mission of creating magical moments at heart, BNF have launched a social media campaign of ongoing competitions and prizes for the community in the lead up to the festival and everyone is urged to participate and avail the many treats that await.
